The children's fun run looks like being a true mini version of the Croc 8, with a little mud by the gate as they go onto the common, so muddy wet shoes will probably be the outcome!

The race's name heralds from the 'Crocodile Wood', the local nickname for Tillington's beautiful Badnage wood via which the greater part of the race is run. (Badnage Wood looks from a distance uncannily like the body of a crocodile.)

What the runners think

"I have now run the race four times and have never experienced such conditions, but once we had washed the mud off everyone was full of praise for the organisation of the race. I know from my own experience that a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes..."
Larry Parkes - Cherwell Runners, Banbury

"Over the years I have raced and attended thousands of athletic meetings not only as a competitor but both as a qualified time keeper and umpire... my opinion of your Crocodile 8 organisation was first class, indeed it was the best and most enjoyable meeting I have ever attended... All the runners enjoyed the friendly atmosphere your team created... Thank you for giving Hereford a top class race we can all be proud of... Congratulations to you all. "
Vic Tarrant - Former County Champion and Race Official

"...Great race, loved the band and the drums, mud was long and hard but we enjoyed it..."
Maldwyn Harriers, Newtown
